Water Museum Centre – Querença’s Heritage of Water
Located in the hilltop village of Querença (municipality of Loulé), the Water Museum Centre (Pólo Museológico da Água) is a specialized interpretive museum dedicated to the cultural and historical importance of water in this inland Algarve community
Situated in a historic building on Largo da Igreja (Church Square), the centre was inaugurated on May 18, 2012 and became part of the Municipal Museum of Loulé network.
It functions as a starting point for several water-themed walking routes, connecting visitors to local springs, wells, noras (water wheels), ribeiras (streams), and traditional tanks.
